Tess Rowan's first play was published at age fourteen after being selected in Dramafest, a one-act play festival created by Stagedoor Manor in collaboration with Stephen Sondheim’s Young Playwright Inc. Tess participated in Dramafest as a playwright/director for two years, workshopping her scripts, Mr. Stranger and Pie from the Pattersons', and was selected as an actor another year. In 2020, Tess was chosen as a Guest Playwright in the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s Young Playwrights Festival for her play, Break My Bones. Tess recently wrote the script, music, and directed Your Carving Footprint as the first in-person production of her co-run student productions group, After Hours. Member of The Dramatists Guild.
